• Regional Committee for Protection of Children’s Rights

  Often life puts us in an unexpected situations and puts obstacles that are difficult to overcome on our own. In full understanding and desire to help, since 2016 LUG's Board provides financial support to the Maternity Home for Pregnant Women and  Children. As a part of the provided assistance, the Board also undertook a thorough refurbishment and fully-equipped a sheltered apartment  for single mother with children. We are proud to contribute creating a safe place that fills the love and warmth, that has become someone's home.

• "Piętro Wyżej" Foundation - Children's Day in Wiechlice

  On Saturday, June 3, 2017, in the park of the Wiechlice Palace, there was a Children's Day party for the children's homes, foster families, charge-takers and non-governmental organizations. One of the main sponsors of the event was LUG. 230 people took part in the event - most of them from Głogów, Szprotawa, Żary, Lubsko and Żagań. Thanks to the LUG's financial help, many attractions such as the slackline show at high altitudes, art classes including learning about decupage, making paper flowers, painting on glass, making jewelry, and fun photos in a Photo booth. LUG also participated in the preparation of awards given to small participants in organized competitions and games. The children returned very happy and full of unforgettable impressions, and their smiles are one of the greatest successes of all those who contributed to the organization of the festival.

• Christmas project for children of the District Orphanage in ŻARY

  Christmas is a time of warmth, cordiality and kindness. In the pre-holiday period of 2016, LUG staff once again showed that these values ​​accompany them on a daily basis and moreover, want to share them with others. All kindness was found in the organization of Christmas gifts, donated to children from the Children's Home in Żary. At the LUG headquarters in Zielona Góra as well as in the research and production center in Nowy Kisielin, a number of unique Christmas baubles were hung out, representing the specific Christmas dreams of children, inspired by the collected letters addressed to St. Nicholas. All the employees, individually and collectively, took away the Christmas baubles, so that they could make smaller and bigger wishes come true before the holidays. Purchased gifts were appropriately forwarded to the District Children's House in Żary, where it was given to the authors of the letters. It is said that "Happiness is something that multiplies when it is divided." and described action is the best example of it.

  

  

  

   

  

  

   

• LUG for WOŚP

  This year we once again supported the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP).

  We have funded T-shirts for volunteers, thanks to which they were well visible both for the residents and for the organizers themselves. "The local police also were pleased with the volunteer labeling, as it was affecting their safety," adds Jagoda Jelinek, coordinator of the Kożuchów staff. We are delighted to be able to support the volunteers involved in this year's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

  

• BETLEJEMKA Foundation for Homeless Children

  The Betlejemka foundation was founded on the 12th of October 1992. Its main goal is to help homeless single-parent families. The foundation’s mission is to help children who were deprived of their biological parents – full and social orphans – children left by their parents and deprived of their love and care. The foundation also helps single mothers who are expecting a baby. It runs an institution in Rostarzewo where homeless mothers can find shelter as well as psychological help, pedagogical, legal and social counselling. LUG Ltd. has been continuously supporting the foundation for over 10 years with material aid. LUG holds charitable collections among its employees and during Christmas, Easter and other holidays, prepares gifts for the people who the foundation looks after.

• SPORT AND REHABILITATION ASSOCIATION "START"

  Association "Start" was established in 1965. Since 1994 its name is SPORT and Rehabilitation association START. Organization helps local athletes by providing coaching.

• Children’s Home in Zary

  The children’s home in Zary is an important institution, providing children in the age of 4-18 with round-the-clock care. The home’s representatives approached LUG Ltd. in 2007 with a request for help and since then they have been intensively cooperating with each other. On many occasions, LUG Ltd. prepared gifts for the children and provided the home’s facilities with sports and camping equipment.

• CARITAS community centre in Kozla

  CARITAS operates in Zielona Gora through a network of institutions which, including a community centre in Kozla, aim at providing access to professional help for the needy and engaging local communities in charitable activities. This goal is realised through voluntary work as well as material and spiritual support. LUG Ltd. supports the community centre by co-financing certain activities such as winter holidays for children.

• Help-in-time Foundation for children

  The foundation has been operating since 1998. It looks after more than five thousand of ill and handicapped children from Poland. It also supports affiliate medicinal, hospice and educational institutions. The main idea of the foundation’s programme is to save children whose life is threatened, bring them back to a state of good health, support their education and help in case of financial difficulties. The foundation focuses on collecting funds which are used to pay for complicated surgeries, expensive treatments and long-term rehabilitation.

  LUG Ltd. receives numerous requests for help the company is not indifferent to and provides financial support to children in need.

• Home of Family Rehabilitation for Children with Cerebral Palsy Foundation

  The foundation provides the handicapped with specialised help in diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation. The foundation helps families of handicapped people in any age. LUG Ltd. provides financing for treatment and rehabilitation in response to individual appeals of families united in the foundation.

• ARIADNA Foundation

  The foundation helps to save lives and health of children, teenagers, handicapped and injured people. LUG Ltd. provides financial support in response to individual appeals of families in need.

• MONAR-MARKOT Association’s Home for Single Mothers and the Elderly

  LUG Ltd. provided financial support for a summer holiday trip for 60 homeless children looked after by the association.

• University Hospital of Karol Marcinkowski in Zielona Gora

  The University Hospital of Karol Marcinkowski in Zielona Gora, in association with NGOs, artists and other people of good will, organises numerous events and attractions for children it looks after. LUG Ltd. provides financial support for many of these initiatives in an attempt to create a joyful environment for ill children.

  

• Help for Children with Cancer Foundation

  The foundation’s mission is to provide help for children who are patients at the Department and Clinic of Pediatric Oncology, Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation of the Wroclaw Medical University. The foundation puts a lot of effort to ensure that the children’s stay at the hospital ends with full recovery and that it is as comfortable as possible. LUG Ltd. provides financial support for treatment of young patients the foundation looks after.

• SLONECZKO Foundation for Helping the Handicapped

  The foundation was established in 2004 and aims at helping the handicapped in securing financing for rehabilitation, treatment and equipment. LUG Ltd. has not been indifferent towards appeals for help and provided financial support for children suffering from cerebral palsy and autism.

• Foundation for Children from Grodno Area

  The foundation was established in 2001. Its main goals are: - providing help for children of Polish origin living in Belarus, - organising summer and winter holidays for children of Polish origin living in Belarus and children from Polish orphanages and institutions of social assistance, - bringing together people who support the foundation. The foundation realises its aims by organising fundraisings and events, cooperation with companies as well as by promotional, informational and publishing activities. LUG Ltd. provided financial support for the foundation.

  Green Town of Jazz festival

  Green Town of Jazz Festival has been taking place in Zielona Gora since 2005 and has been widely appreciated throughout the years. In 2008 it attracted world-wide known jazz stars (Oleg Kireyev, Zbigniew Lewandowski, Fuasi Abdul – Khaliq, Wojciech Staroniewicz, Mike Stern, Bob Franceschini, Tom Kennedy, Dave Weckl, Jarosław Śmietana) and crowds of jazz music lovers.

• School and pre-school Complex with Integration Branches in Otyń

  The LUG Light Factory company had the opportunity to support the educational project "Activity measured by laps" as part of the program of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism "Keep fit", implemented in the 2017/2018 school year at the School of Otynia.
