LUG supplied the first LED luminaires to Argentina

LUG delivered the first part of two thousand pieces of luminaires, regarding to the agreement with the Government of the Province of Misiones in the Republic of Argentina. This is the first part of a record contract, worth nearly 21 million EURO. The debut batch of luminaires was set up in the LUG S.A. factory in Zielona Góra. Next deliveries will already be installed at the factory in Argentina, which is scheduled to open in early October 2017.
LUG Argentina SA officially commenced its operations on the day of its entry into the Argentinean register of entrepreneurs: August 30, 2017. The production factory is still under construction, which is expected to be completed by the beginning of October. However, this fact did not interrupt the company from fulfilling its first order and preparing the delivery of two thousand pieces of modern luminaries. The first batch was produced in the LUG S.A. Group of Zielona Góra.

New entity in the LUG S.A. will focus on the development of energy efficient LED solutions. The role of the Argentinean company is to conduct industrial activities, including production and assembly of luminaires and the sale of luminaires. LUG Argentina SA will also conduct consultancy activities in the area of lighting technology, including energy saving projects.
- Construction of the factory at Parque Industrial Park S.A.P.E.M. is already finished. Expected completion date is the turn of September and October. In October we will begin work on the installation of the production line. We estimate that accordingly with the investment schedule, the factory will reach full capacity in the first quarter of the next year. - Ryszard Wtorkowski, President of LUG S.A.
The new factory will have an area about 1,600 square meters. The employment will be occupied by several dozen people. The production line will produce modern luminaires designed to illuminate urban spaces such as streets, parks, parking lots and public buildings. The investment in Argentina will increase capacity and achieve full efficiency. The entire project will be implemented in stages, while increasing the presence of LUG in the Argentinian market.
