Lubisian BCC Lodge

27 October 2011

On the 26th of October 2011 a meeting of the Lubusian Lodge of the Business Centre Club took place in the main office of the LUG company. The meeting was devoted to European Union aid directed at entrepreneurs via the Lubisian Regional Operational Program (LROP).

A new programming perspective within the LROP was a good occasion to set up a meeting of local authority representatives with entrepreneurs invited to the LUG company office on behalf of the Business Centre Club. Among the many participating guests were Marshal of the Lubisian Voivodeship, Mrs. Elżbieta Polak, Chancellor of the Gorzów Wielkopolski Business School, Mrs. Anna Siwko, Director of the European Social Fund Department, Mr. Marek Kamiński, as well as local entrepreneurs and representatives of Lubusian organizations. The meeting was hosted by the Lubusian Lodge Chancellor and president of the LUG company, Mr. Ryszard Wtorkowski.

During the meeting Elżbieta Polak discussed the plans for taking advantage of the additional funds from the so called National Execution Reserve – a bonus received by our voivodeship. The Lubusian entrepreneurs turned out to be the best prepared and most open to acquiring financial support from EU funds. Out of the 1700 applications which were submitted to the LROP, 1300 were from Lubusian companies. Many projects which were positively evaluated, but did not receive financial support will now have another chance.

Currently the Lubusian voivodeship along with four others (Greater Polish, Lower Silesian, Opolskie and West Pomeranian) is working on the Strategy for Western Poland and is preparing for the new programming perspective.
